Phoenix Electroplating is dedicated to protecting the environment and aims to reduce its impact on the environment as much as possible. To achieve this, the company has an environmental management system comparable to the ISO 14001 environmental standard. Michael Oates the Director, has also gained an MSc degree in Environmental Management and Technology.
Many areas of the companies operations have been improved to reduce energy consumption, water use and waste disposal. Phoenix Electroplating will continue to improve its environmental performance. By using Phoenix Electroplating as your supplier, your environmental impact will also be reduced.

In recognition of its achievements, Phoenix Electroplating was presented with an award for 'Energy, Water & Waste Management' from Groundwork Bury at the Groundwork Bury Awards Dinner on 5th December 2002. This award follows on from the previous years award for 'Awareness & Environmental Management'.

This award was for general environmental awareness in the company. General improvements in the way the company operates including, segregation and recycling of the waste streams, preparation of an environmental management system and a general cleanup of the site. | Michael Oates the Director Chairman, has undertaken a great deal of environmental training. At the time of this award he had a level 3 NVQ for Environmental Practice at Work and had started post graduate training at UMIST. Michael is the driving force behind the improvements at Phoenix Electroplating Ltd. |
